An Australian Parcel Letterbox Story

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We are here with a vision that sometime in the near future, all homes and businesses will have a Secure Parcel Delivery and Pickup System, eliminating the frustrations of missed parcel deliveries and extra trips to Australia Post, etc.

An idea is born

My Dad, living in Perth’s Northern suburbs, had taken to online shopping with "Verve and Gusto." I dropped in to visit my Dad one day for coffee and was a little concerned to find his security gate wide open. On questioning him about the open gate, he explained how he was expecting a parcel delivery. If he missed the Australia Post delivery, he would be forced to drive to Australia Post, find parking, and then wait in a queue to pick up the parcel. A real 1st world problem I replied joking with him.  Upon hearing the frustration in his voice about receiving yet another "Sorry We Missed You" note and his colourful description of the parcel delivery personnel's ability to ring the bell, an idea was born. I would make him a home parcel delivery box, and once that was done successfully, I would then turn it into a business.

Myself and My Parcel Box at Steep Point WA. Australia's most westerly mainland location. The brutal corrugations on the track to Steep Point. The best vibration test for the product that I could think of. Passed with flying colours.

Australian and Englishman begin their business collaboration.

Over the years, I had been involved in various manufacturing businesses and understood the challenges in creating a product from the ground up. With a little research, I was pleased to find that nothing fit for purpose was currently available on the Australian market. That was when I made contact with Brian Wilcox, the founder and inventor of the Brizebox parcel letterbox. Located in the UK, Brian had already invented and patented a very clever secure parcel mailbox. We both soon realized we had the same vision that parcel boxes would replace letterboxes in the future. I imported some Brizebox parcel letterboxes and displayed them at The Perth Home show in 2017. People loved the concept of the Home Parcel Box, and the interest was amazing. However, very soon, it became apparent that we needed to modify the product to suit the Australian market.

My Parcel Box is born

A few years of working out the bugs followed by close to 2 years of design and many prototypes later, the new range of "My Parcel Box" was born. The global launch of this innovative new product was held right here in Perth, Western Australia, in late 2021.

Currently, the innovative My Parcel Box range is available in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe.

Yours sincerely

Richard Kaiser
