Parcel box colours and materials

What a My Parcel Box is made of, and the colours it comes in — built for the way Australian homes look and the weather they take.

A parcel box lives outdoors, in the sun and the rain, all year round — so what it’s made of matters as much as how it looks. This guide covers the materials behind the range, the finish, and the colour options, so you can choose one that suits your home and lasts the distance.

What it’s made of

Every My Parcel Box is built from Aluzinc — an aluminium-zinc coated steel chosen specifically for Australian conditions — with stainless-steel fittings and a texture exterior powder-coat finish. The Extra-Large uses 1mm Aluzinc; the Medium and Large use 0.7mm. It’s a corrosion-resistant material built to stand up to sun, salt air and weather, and the powder-coat finish gives it a tough, even surface made for the outdoors.

  • Aluzinc body. Aluminium-zinc coated steel — corrosion-resistant and well suited to the Australian climate, including coastal areas.
  • Stainless-steel fittings. The screws and fixings that hold it together resist rust where it matters.
  • Texture powder-coat finish. A durable, even exterior coat that stands up to sun and weather.
  • Rain-proof. Designed and tested to keep your parcels dry inside, whatever the weather does outside.

Built to last — by design, not just by material

The long-term rust and corrosion resistance of a My Parcel Box comes from how it’s built as much as what it’s built from. There are no welds in the body: welding burns off the protective coating and creates points where rust can start. Building the box without welds, in corrosion-resistant Aluzinc, means there are no weak spots for corrosion to take hold — so it’s made to outlast welded designs.

Rain and weatherproof by design — built to keep your parcels dry through everyday Australian weather, from light showers to heavy rain and winter storms — so what arrives in the box stays dry until you collect it.

The colours

The range comes in two main colours — Charcoal and Off White — plus Light Grey while stocks last, all chosen to sit naturally against Australian homes, fences and gardens. (Colour swatches below are a guide — see the box in person on display at Home Base, Subiaco for the true finish.)

All sizes

Charcoal

A deep, dark grey that reads almost black. Understated and modern, it suits dark trims, contemporary homes and most colour schemes.

Large & Extra-Large

Off White

A soft, warm tone. Light and clean against rendered walls, lighter fences and classic facades. Available on the Large and Extra-Large.

Medium & Large — while stocks last

Light Grey

A softer, neutral grey, available while stocks last on the Medium and Large. If it suits your scheme, check current availability before you order.

Which colours come on which size: Medium — Charcoal or Light Grey (while stocks last). Large — Charcoal, Off White or Light Grey (while stocks last). Extra-Large — Charcoal or Off White.

A note on frames

An optional frame is a finishing touch some people prefer — it gives a neat, integrated, built-in look and makes it easier to set the box into a fence or brickwork. It’s a style choice, not a necessity: the box is fully finished on its own. If you like the framed look, Built-In Frames are available to match each size — flat-roof models only.
