Parcel boxes for apartments and strata buildings

Secure, keyless parcel delivery for every resident — without parcels piling up in the foyer.

In apartment blocks, townhouse complexes and strata buildings, deliveries are a daily headache: parcels stacked in the lobby, couriers buzzing every unit, missed deliveries, and the occasional one that walks off. A parcel box fixes it — couriers deliver securely with no key or code, and every parcel is locked away until the resident collects it. Give each unit its own box, or fit a shared box for the building.

Why parcel delivery is harder in multi-unit buildings

One building can take dozens of deliveries a day. Without somewhere secure to put them, parcels end up at reception, in the foyer, or outside unit doors — cluttering shared spaces, creating work for building managers, and leaving deliveries on show in a busy thoroughfare. Couriers often can’t get past the front door, so residents collect “missed you” cards and chase redeliveries instead. A secure parcel box gives every delivery a locked home the moment it arrives, so shared spaces stay clear and residents actually receive what they ordered.

Two ways to do it

A bank of parcel boxes, one for each unit.

A box for every unit

Give each unit its own secure parcel box — the parcel-delivery equivalent of the mailbox bank your building already has. Every resident gets their own locked box and key, couriers deliver to it keyless, and deliveries stay private and secure until that resident collects.

Choose the Medium for lighter receivers or the Large for households that shop online regularly. Boxes can be grouped into a bank in the mailroom, entrance or carport.

A shared box for the building

A single shared box for the whole building. Couriers still deliver keyless, as always. For collection, we fit a combination lock and the building shares a code — so any resident can open the box and collect their parcel, while it stays locked and secure from couriers and passers-by until someone does.

The Extra-Large is the size for this: a 160 L secure storage compartment, and keyless delivery of a single parcel up to 51.5 × 36.5 × 33 cm (62 litres) — Australia’s largest keyless parcel letterbox. A shared code means residents share access to the box — if you’d rather each resident had a private box, the box-per-unit option is the way to go.

Why it works for buildings

  • Keyless for couriers. Any courier or delivery service can use it, with nothing to buzz, share or lose — a real advantage in a building full of different residents and visitors.
  • Secure by design. The receiving drawer and the storage below are never open to each other, so a delivered parcel can’t be reached from the drawer or from outside.
  • Keeps shared spaces clear. Parcels go straight into a locked box instead of the foyer, reception or unit doorways.
  • Built for outdoors. Rain-proof and made from Aluzinc, so it suits entrances, carports, walkways and mailrooms.
  • Scales to any building. Add as many unit boxes as you need, in the same three sizes throughout.

Strata parcel delivery — your questions answered

Can you fit parcel boxes in an apartment or strata building?
Yes. You can give every unit its own secure box — grouped into a bank like your existing mailboxes — or fit a single shared box for the building. Either way, couriers deliver keyless and parcels stay locked until collected.
Does every resident get their own box, or is it shared?
Either. The most common setup is a box per unit, so each resident has their own locked box and key and deliveries stay private. Or you can fit a single shared box: couriers still deliver keyless, and for collection we add a combination lock so the building shares a code, letting any resident open it to collect. A shared box (the Extra-Large) keeps parcels secure from couriers and passers-by until collected; a box per unit keeps each resident’s parcels private to them.
How do residents receive parcels without giving couriers a code?
Delivery is keyless — the courier opens the drawer, puts the parcel in and closes it, and it drops into the locked compartment below. There’s no code or key to share with couriers. On a shared box, the combination code is only for residents collecting, not for couriers delivering.
Can the boxes go outdoors or in a mailroom?
Yes. They’re rain-proof and built from Aluzinc, so they suit entrances, carports, walkways and mailrooms. Medium and Large can be wall-mounted, ground-mounted or fitted to a post; the Extra-Large bolts down to the ground or mounts to a wall.
What size parcel box does a strata building need?
For a box per unit, Medium or Large depending on how much each resident receives. For a shared building box, the Extra-Large holds the most — a 160 L secure storage compartment — and accepts a single parcel up to 51.5 × 36.5 × 33 cm (62 litres), delivered keyless. Our size guide compares all three.
